To help you get the most benefit from your treatment, please take a moment to read the aftercare advice below.
Your body continues to respond after your session, and gentle care can support longer-lasting results.
Tui Na - Chinese Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage works into the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, so it’s normal to feel a little tender afterwards.
After your treatment, please:
💧 Drink style hydrated - no need to flood your system with an excess of water, but keeping gently hydrated will be of benefit.
Avoid heavy meals, alcohol and caffeine – this will help you to get the best from your massage.
🧘♀️Rest if you can and avoid strenuous exercise for 24 & 48 hours particularly if we have worked on specific issues e.g. lower back issues, tight shoulders etc.
🔥 Use heat or a warm bath to soothe muscles (unless advised otherwise)
🚶♀️ Move gently – light stretching or walking is ideal
😌 Listen to your body – mild soreness can be normal for 24–48 hours, it is likely that after this time you will feel the full benefit of your appointment. Some people will feel the difference immediately after their massage.
You may notice:
Temporary muscle soreness
Feeling taller and lighter
Feeling relaxed and / or tired
Being emotionally sensitive or more grounded and calmer

Pregnancy Massage – Aftercare Advice
Pregnancy massage is designed to be gentle, nurturing, and supportive for both you and your baby.
After your treatment, please:
💧 Stay well hydrated
🧘♀️ Take things slowly and allow time to rest
🤸♀️ Move gently when standing up — your body may feel deeply relaxed
💚 Notice how you feel emotionally – relaxation can sometimes bring up feelings

You may notice:
Improved sleep
Reduced aches or swelling
Feeling calm, grounded, or very relaxed
Slight tenderness to areas that have been more deeply massage . This only happens if it is specifically requested.
If you notice anything unusual (such as dizziness, cramping, or discomfort), contact your midwife or healthcare provider.
Reflexology & Aromatherapy
Reflexology encourages the body’s natural balance and healing responses, which can continue after your session.
After your treatment, please:
💧 Drink extra water for the rest of the day
💤 Rest and take it easy if possible
🌿 Eat nourishing foods and avoid excess caffeine or alcohol
🧘♀️ Allow space for the effects — results may unfold over 24–72 hours
You may notice:
Deep relaxation or improved sleep
Temporary changes in energy, mood, or digestion
Mild symptoms as the body rebalances (these usually pass quickly)
